Blog 5: Changes to my study program

Hi everyone!! After a long time I return write in the blog

As we completed the stoppage at our University, i think that it's important to talk about what should change in the sociology department.

First, we have to change the subject "Leer, Escribir y Hablar en las Ciencias Sociales" that we have in our first year, because it doesn't help us, it's not well done, they don't teach APA correctly, etc. And it's very disappointed when you are in your first year and the teachers full your schedule with investigation essays, and for the majority it's our first time doing it, so, the subject excites you but later you realize that it was terrible, like a toxic ex.

Continuing, we have to work on the teaching method. For example, a history teacher is seating in his desk with a powerpoint talking about the history of Chile. That's boring and doesn't help to the student to understand. The metjod has to be more dynamic and fun.

And last but not least, we need cafeterias were we can buy food with our "JUNAEB" card. After the pandemic everything is closed inside of the campus. Actually, we can't buy food with cash or debit cards either.

As a kind of conclusion, I consideret important the refelxion and discussion of the subjects, the workload and length of studies and infrastructure of the faculty.
